DFA COURSE CATALOG
Current DFA course offerings include the following certified NRA courses:
Law Enforcement Firearms Instruction and Training
In addition to the above basic NRA courses, NRA CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR COURSES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE
DFA has altered the traditional NRA courses offered by most others training instructors and organizations. Classes are typically limited to 10 candidates per course offering. Candidates meet once a week from 2 to 3 hours per session until they have completed the course material. This allows for additional review and study between class sessions and allows students an opportunity to absorb the course content and detailed information. This approach allows for the full development of competent instructors. Our goal at DFA is to developed well qualified, competent and safe candidates.
DFA provides a methodical approach to firearms training, focusing on proper body alignment, trigger pull (press) and grip of the firearm, to name a few. Several weeks of class work are integrated into range sessions, building upon the fundamentals learned. Each candidate is expected to study and practice between each class room session. Students are required to demonstrate their proficiency of each learned skill, prior to advancing to the next skill level.
Specialized courses can be arranged upon request.
Private, one-on-one sessions can also be arranged.
